Tanaka Libary
Welcome to the Tanaka Elementary Library, where we foster and encourage a love of reading and learning. Our library is designed to provide a welcoming and inviting space that motivates students to explore new worlds and ideas. We pride ourselves on having an extensive collection of books, ranging from classic literature to new and trending titles, alongside educational resources to support classroom learning. Policies
Students kindergarten through fifth grade come to library once every six days. Books are due the next time they come to the library. Students do not check out if they do not return the book or books. They are encouraged to keep books in their backpacks when not reading them. There are no fines for late books. The only time payment is required is if the book is lost or damaged beyond repair. Kindergarten--1 book (Students will not bring them home until after winter break)
First Grade--1 book

Fifth Grade--3 books
Apple Core
Students read each night! Parents initial every 15 minutes of reading on the apples. Write books read on the back and parent signs. Student brings it to school and teacher signs. It is turned into the library and prizes are awarded. Here is the letter that was sent home explaining it.

8:55 AM-12:05 PM and 12:45-4:00 PM
Students may shop during their library time also!

Family Breakfast is 8:00-8:45 AM
Mrs. Thomas's Pre-K Classes are invited to shop 12:30-1:30 PM
Ms. Lopez's Pre-K Classes are invited to shop 1:30-2:30 PM
