Welcome to the Tanaka Elementary Library, where we foster and encourage a love of reading and learning. Our library is designed to provide a welcoming and inviting space that motivates students to explore new worlds and ideas. We pride ourselves on having an extensive collection of books, ranging from classic literature to new and trending titles, alongside educational resources to support classroom learning. Policies
Students kindergarten through fifth grade come to library once every six days. Books are due the next time they come to the library. Students do not check out if they do not return the book or books. They are encouraged to keep books in their backpacks when not reading them. There are no fines for late books. The only time payment is required is if the book is lost or damaged beyond repair. Please contact the library at 702-799-2504 with any questions.
Kindergarten--1 book (Students will not bring them home until after winter break)
First Grade--1 book

Fourth Grade--3 books
Fifth Grade--3 books

How Many Feet Can We Read?
Each time a student, staff member, or parent finishes a book he/she can fill out a recording sheet on the correct color. Each one counts as an inch. More recording sheets are available in the library.

Battle of the Books
There are 17 students already reading for Battle of the Books!
The after school club begins on September 23.
Students read 8 books and study them. Students battle in teams of four against each other in a Jeopardy Style game.
