Our Curriculum

At Tanaka Elementary, we provide a comprehensive and engaging curriculum that is designed to meet the needs of all our students. Our curriculum includes a strong focus on literacy, science, writing, geography, mathematics, and physical education.

Literacy

Our literacy program is designed to help students develop their reading and writing skills. We use a variety of teaching methods and materials to engage students and help them become confident and proficient readers and writers.

Science

Our science program is designed to spark curiosity and inspire a love of learning about the natural world. Students will explore a wide range of topics, including biology, earth science, physics, and chemistry, through hands-on experiments and investigations.

Writing

Our writing program is designed to help students develop their communication skills. Students will learn to express themselves clearly and effectively through a variety of writing activities, including creative writing, essays, and research papers.

Geography

Our geography program is designed to help students develop a deep understanding of the world around them. Students will learn about different cultures, countries, and regions, as well as important geographical concepts and skills.

Mathematics

Our mathematics program is designed to help students develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Students will learn a wide range of mathematical concepts, including number sense, algebra, geometry, and data analysis.

Physical Education

Our physical education program is designed to promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Students will participate in a variety of activities, including team sports, individual sports, and fitness challenges.
