Dear Tanaka Students, Families, and Community,

Happy September! As the summer heat begins to wane and we welcome cooler weather, our school year is moving into full swing.

We are officially kicking off our annual Dragon Run Fundraiser! This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and our goal is to raise $45,000 to directly support our students, programs, and school community. Mark your calendars for Friday, September 18th—our huge end-of-fundraiser Dragon Run event! It is going to be an absolute blast for all of our students. To keep the momentum going, students can earn incredible incentives as they hit fundraising milestones, including:

• Running through the school halls

• Soaking or sliming school staff

• A special field trip to the Lion Habitat

• The opportunity to become Principal for the Day!
  

As a reminder to keep our dismissals safe and smooth, there are no student early-outs permitted after 2:30 p.m. Additionally, please check out page 2 of our newsletter for quick links to updated helpful information and our school birthday policies.
